NLC/DA FAQ

How do I take my final exam?

You will take your final exam online using Proctor360.  Your exam session is recorded and reviewed for academic integrity.  All final exams are CLOSED BOOK.  You cannot use your workbook, notes, parents, friends or other materials or computers during your final exam.  If you use outside materials, your exam will be flagged and you will need to retake it.  You will need to show your ID.  If you do not show your ID, your exam will be flagged.

How do I access my Canvas account?

Students are sent a course invitation via email when a new packet is issued.  Within the email click on "Get Started" to create a new NLC/DA Canvas account. If the student has previously purchased a packet and the Canvas account is already established, click on NLC/DA Canvas Website to login to the Canvas account.

Why is a Canvas quiz telling me it is locked?

Reviews on Canvas have a required practice quiz that will need to be submitted before the review 1 or 2 will be unlocked.

What if I did not pass my final exam the first time?

You must score a minimum of 60% to pass the final exam. If you do not score at least 60%, you will need to purchase a retest. You will then need to wait 24 hours before you can retake your final exam. During this 24-hour period, you should review your packet and reviews on Canvas.

If you do not score at least 60% on the second attempt, we strongly recommend you meet with a tutor before you attempt the final a third time. You are only allowed three attempts to pass the final exam. If you do not pass the final exam on the third attempt, you will have to repurchase the workbook and start the course over.

Tutoring is available remotely or in person at our Layton location. Tutoring starts at $45-$75 per hour depending on the subject matter. Please call our tutoring center directly at (385) 245-2926 for scheduling, or schedule online on our website.

How long do I have to complete my packet(s)?

Please note that you will have 90 days, from the date the packet was issued, to complete the packet(s) and required online assignments.

What if my due date lands on a weekend or on a date the office is closed?
